If you are interested in commissioning us to work on your design project, the first step is to provide us with a proposal of exactly what you are looking for in your design. From there we will generate a list of questions for you to help give us more information so we can create the best product possible. This will generally provide enough information for us to put together a quote for your project and to begin work on initial designs and ideas.
Once you have confirmed in writing that you are happy with the quote provided, we will begin the initial concept design for your project. These initial designs will be e-mailed to you in a PDF document or a JPG image for you to preview and provide feedback on. Once you have seen the initial designs and would like us to develop them further, a deposit payment will be requested. Payment can be made via check or credit or debit card via PayPal..
When you have received and reviewed the initial designs, we will ask you to comment on each design and respond with your opinions (good or bad!). Generally, a client will like a couple of designs in particular but may also like elements from other designs. We will use this feedback to develop the designs further. The review and revision process will continue until you are completely happy with the final design. .
Your final design will be supplied to you via e-mail or--if files are too large--on a CD that will be shipped to you at no extra cost. The designs will come in a variety of formats for use in both web and print. These include JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PNG, and EPS files. Other formats are available upon request.
Once the final design has been decided upon, you will be sent a final invoice via e-mail. Full copyright is automatically passed to the client upon receipt of this final payment.
Start times and turnaround times for projects vary depending on our workload at any particular time and on the complexity of each individual project. When supplying you with a quote, we will also provide you with a guide to our current delivery timeframes for projects.
We prefer to provide clients with a fixed rate quote for each individual project, rather than billing by an hourly rate. This means that you know how much the design work will cost and there are no surprises when you are billed at the end of the project. Each client is unique and we tailor quotes to suit the requirements of the individual. For any project over $500, we require a deposit of a quater of the total cost of the project.
Although many of our projects have been carried out completely over e-mail, we are happy to discuss your requirements over the telephone should the need arise. All new clients will be supplied with the designers direct phone line should they need to make contact at any time. If you would like us to come to your company in person to discuss the project, we would be happy to do so, bearing your responsibility for our travel arrangements and payment for those travel arrangements.
On receipt of full payment, the exclusive copyright of the final chosen design is automatically passed to you. We do, however, retain the right to display the design in our portfolio, or for promotional purposes on or offline.
